The way you are

My love for Barry White is huge.
The big, black romantic man made our family reunions a big dancing party.
“I love you just the way you are” is beautiful and romantic to hear from someone, read the lyrics:

I never take anything for granted
Only a fool maybe takes things for granted
Just because it’s here today
It can be gone tomorrow
And that’s one thing that you’ll
Never in your life ever have to worry about me
If I’ll ever change towards you because
Baby, I love you
Girl, I love you
Just the way you are
Don’t go changing, trying to please me
You never let me down before
I don’t imagine you’re too familiar
And I don’t see you anymore
I would not leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I’ll take the bad times
I’ll take you just the way you are
Don’t go trying some new fashion
Don’t change the color of your hair, hey there
You always have my unspoken passion
Although, I might not seem to care
I don’t want clever conversation
Don’t want to work that hard, no love
I just want some, someone to talk to
I want you just the way you are
I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take ’til you believe in me
The way that I believe in you?
I said, “I love you and that’s forever”
And this I promise from my heart, oh Lord
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are
I don’t want clever conversation
I don’t want to work that hard, no love
I just want some, someone to talk to
I want you just the way you are
I want you the way you are (love you just the way you are)
Don’t go changing (love you just the way you are)

Now i am close to finish my 750 hours of Vijnana yoga education I have some other insight on the lyrics of this text, especially the part: “no I don’t want to work that hard “

We do, are, walk with our natural innate body and it has taken on a life of its own due to the environment and who we grew up with. In a relationship we like each other as we get attracted to another. So this love can become restricted as one says ‘don’t change’ Sure Barry here means it in the way like Louise Hay would sing in her song:

I love myself the way I am, there’s nothing I need to change.
I’ll always be the perfect me, there’s nothing to rearrange.
I’m beautiful and capable, of being the best me I can.
And I love myself, just the way I am.

I love you the way you are, there’s nothing you need to do.
When I feel the love inside, it’s easy to love you.
Behind your fears, your rage and tears, I see your shining star.
And I love you, just the way your are.

I love the world the way it is, cause I can clearly see.
That all the things I judge are done, by people just like me.
So ’til the birth of peace on earth, that only love can bring.
I’ll help it grow, by loving everything.

I love myself the way I am, and I still want to grow.
But change outside can only come, when deep inside I know.
I’m beautiful and capable, of being the best me I can.
And I love myself, just the way I am.

My change in understanding Barry ‘s lyrics are that it is tricky holding back of your partner or friend from their changing in a good way: for freedom of one’s own nature. Because nature is natural to change, to move. When nature doesn’t move anymore it dies.
And we humans are also nature.
So we need to learn to deal with changes and always keep moving in order to stay alive. Who’s holding you back or who are you keeping on the spot to “dare not to change”? It is mostly very hidden because we don’t mean to be mean most of the time.
Yoga, horses and plants are neutral. They all look at the body and mind whether it is in or out of balance and gives opportunities to arrange and regulate it. Regardless of your background. Just starting from the beginning. Your feet on the floor. Three years practice of rooting my feet gave a deep understanding. The worst thing that I understood about my feet that were almost dead, the good thing is that now they are loving living active connected parts of my body.

On the surface:

If you enjoy a nice horizon view, all seems good at that moment. The outside, the surface. That’s good. Here you can linger for a while. Could it be in heaven or the universe or Purusha, the everything and the unchanging?
It is in all facets of life where you encounter these moments. Then come the eternal changes of nature: prakriti and the gunas.
We invite you to also go on a retreat if all is well, when you are in the flow.
To deepen from that momentum (insider joke) and go to another level.

This is learning from a healthy point of view instead of coming out of a deep dark valley. It does take some courage to leave your familiar nice situation and place that behind to reach new horizons.

Consequences of ’too active’ nervous system

Did you know that an overactive nervous system in the body is responsible for almost every disease?
Tinnitus, asthma, fatigue, poor concentration, memory loss, agitation, restlessness, worrying, difficulty falling asleep or difficulty staying asleep and waking up early, many dreams, panic attacks, and so on.
When your nervous system is too active for more than 3 months or sometimes years.
Too much on the gas pedal.

Then it is no longer possible to recover properly.
And will it limit you in your daily life.

Aggravation of physical tension complaints.
And even if you have had a quiet day, the complaints are still present. You could also call it Somatic pain. It is great now science meets the unknown and has found words to describe the secret yoga knows for decades.

How to heal?

Be in nature, practice yoga, be around horses and learn from plants.
I (Claudia) wrote my thesis (Vijnana yoga 750 hours of yoga education) on yoga for riders and horses for yogis.
The words riders and yogis can also be replaced by humans.
It is not flying away, it is not being high, it is not always nice.
It is a deeper look and there by understanding of the self, you in the body and the new feeling of safety : bodyawareness

What is body awareness?

Body awareness is how conscious and connected you are to your own body. It’s also known as kinesthesia, or the awareness of the position and movement of body parts in relation to muscles and joints.
In short, it’s how you recognize where your body is in space.
It involves the proprioceptive system which tells you where your muscles are moving and how, as well as the vestibular system which is made of organs in the inner ear that are in charge of spatial orientation.
The vestibular system allows you to keep your balance, posture and head stability. THIS IS YOGA and proper HORSE RIDING.
If you feel dizzy, chances are your vestibular system is affected.
Body awareness can also extend to your body’s cues. When you recognize that you’re hungry, thirsty, or tired, you’re exercising body awareness.
This is also the case with more complex cues, like when you’re at your max during a workout, when you’re feeling lonely and in need of some social time.
Benefits of body awareness
Body awareness has several benefits that range from physical to emotional health.
Better balance and stability
One of the main benefits of body awareness is having a strong mind-body connection. When you know and feel where your body is in space, you’re better able to direct it to do what you want it to do.
Weight management
There’s some evidence that body awareness can be a beneficial tool for weight management. People with low body awareness were more likely to eat in the absence of hunger, which the study related to obesity risk.
Pain management
Evidence suggests that body awareness can reduce pain when approached mindfully.
People who suppressed bodily sensations had:

  • lower self-esteem
  • less physical contact
  • more depressive symptoms

People who used mind-body interventions showed higher levels of awareness of and connection with their bodies. This resulted in greater self-acceptance, vitality, and lower sensory pain.
Identifying and meeting your needs
When you’re more aware of your body’s cues, you can better understand what you need from moment to moment. This means you can tell the difference between hunger, thirst, tiredness, and emotional distress.
Instead of reaching for a candy bar or another less than nutritious snack when you’re tired, give yourself permission to take a nap.
Instead of oversleeping when you’re going through a difficult emotional time, you can reach out to loved ones, exercise self-care (louise hay), be in nature, learn from horses, plants and yoga ( the total path: Vijnana).

Understanding what your body is communicating can help you better meet your own needs, leading to greater health and emotional satisfaction.
Improved mental and emotional well-being
When your proprioceptive and vestibular systems aren’t processing information from your environment correctly, it can be stressful.

The body awareness that comes from balancing the vestibular and proprioceptive systems can give you a sense of security both in your body and in the world around you. It can even lead to reductions in: anxiety, depression, vertigo.

It is not yet possible to restore a balance organ. So there will always be an asymmetry between the two sides.
Recovery from complaints is possible due to the vestibular compensation. Through yoga, horses and the insight of space trough plants medicine you will find truthfulness and that restores body and mind.

See you when you when you get here!
Feel free and welcome

Hugs from the mountain:
Jim, Claudia, the doggies and horses, the nature.
